PLEASE NOTE: Dr. Kelly is not accepting clients in her private practice at this time and will be slow to respond to inquiries. This page will be updated when her private practice is active again.
Our initial sessions will be an opportunity to determine if my approach is a good fit for your needs. Sessions are typically 45 minutes long, meeting on a weekly basis. My use of evidence-based interventions means that techniques are grounded in scientific research and are often action-oriented and time-limited. Depending on your therapeutic needs, we may decide to extend therapy as we identify new goals.
Couples sessions are attended by both partners and may be 45 to 90 minutes in length, depending on the needs of the couple. Issues addressed in couples therapy include increasing effective communication and intimacy, changes in familial roles, challenges unique to LGBTQ relationships, and recovery from loss or conflict. I implement a combination of structural family and emotion-focused interventions.
Consultation and Community Outreach
I have a particular interest in community outreach and educational opportunities related to maternal mental health, trauma, mindfulness-based interventions, and coping strategies for emotional suffering. Please contact me if you or your organization may benefit from a presentation or consultation on these topics.
